Pathways Submission Deadline Extended!

Missed the deadline? Well, you’re in luck!

The Pathways editorial team has extended the submission deadline to May 24.

Submissions often include papers originally written for courses at sr. undergraduate and graduate student levels. Submitting your work is an excellent opportunity to gain experience to improve the quality of your writing and a chance to have an article published (available open access through Pathways website and through Google Scholar). For the full list of submission types see: Author Guidelines.

We publish works that focus on anthropological topics (archaeology, cultural anthropology, physical anthropology, linguistic anthropology) as well as topics from other disciplines that explore human experience in the present and past. If you are unsure if the topic of your paper would be within the scope of the journal, please feel to discuss it with us (pathwaysgraduatejournal@usask.ca).

Defended recently? We publish plain language summaries, which is a great way to encourage interest in your (published or soon-to-be published) thesis.

If you’ve read a good academic book lately, consider writing a book review!

Have an idea for an anthropologically themed creative work (e.g. photo-essay, video, multimedia content, and 3D)? Please get in touch with us to discuss the suitability of your work and whether the journal can accommodate it.

Keep in mind, if this work was done as a course assignment (e.g. term papers) or as part of your MA or PhD thesis/dissertation research (e.g. literature reviews, research papers, plain language summaries), permission is required from your instructor/professor or supervisor.

Happy Writing!
